Filling Station Follow up
We had an incredible response from The Filling Station held on September 10th. Many of you have asked how you can be involved on more of a continual basis. Please see how you and/or your LIFE Groups can get involved to help serve the people of Ellis County:
Waxahachie Care – The Avenue Church partnered with Waxahachie Care last year to help serve our county better. We have an amazing relationship with them and we hope you will feel right at home when you are helping to serve with them as well. There is an ongoing need for food pick up every Wednesday morning from Wal-Mart and delivering it to Waxahachie Care. A trailer is provided to haul all of the food. Virtual Food Drive – The Virtual Food Drive is provided online by the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and allows people to buy food at NTFB prices! Go to http://vad.aidmatrix.org/vadxml.cfm?driveid=5329. As you choose food items to purchase, the website is designed to make your shopping experience fun and worth going online to do your shopping! Give it a try. All food bought from the website helps benefit Waxahachie Care.
North Texas Food Bank – Individuals and/or groups from The Avenue can volunteer at NTFB location in Dallas located at 3500 Cockrell Hill Road. They are asking that the volunteer hours be donated to a member agency like Waxahachie Care. The credited hours will benefit Waxahachie Care when they go to the NTFB to purchase food.
Daily Bread website – This website has up to date listings of Ellis County food pantry needs. These are not cash needs, but rather volunteer opportunities. Go to http://texasbaptists.org/advocacy-care/community-care/daily-bread/nearest-ntfb-member-agency/.

First Impressions
This team believes that first impressions make a huge impact. These teams are made up of individuals who love creating welcoming environments for every guest at The Avenue. This ministry is made up of several teams from Parking, Greeting, Ushers, Security, Coffee Bar and Hospitality.
Discipleship
Are you comfortable leading a bible study or guiding new believers through their next steps? If you are, you might be a good fit for the discipleship team.
Kidz Avenue
Our Children's Ministry volunteers are people with a passion to see children experience Jesus on their level. Volunteers serve kids, birth through fifth grade, in safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. There are many opportunities to serve on Sundays and throughout the week.
DRIVE Student Ministries

Creative & Technical Arts
From operating cameras and sound to trouble-shooting computer issues, the Creative and Technical Arts teams use their skills in media production and technology to keep The Avenue Church on the cutting edge.
